Speaking to Joanne and Jason, Kate learned that Spider-Man was the boy’s favorite superhero from Glasgow when he showed her his collection of action figures.
“Louis, our little boy, loves Spider-Man too,” she said.
Prince Louis isn’t the only one of the Cambridge kids who shares an affinity for spiders.
His big sister Charlotte, who turned seven last week, revealed in an exchange with Sir David Attenborough in 2020 for the Earthshot Prize that she loved spiders.

Yesterday Kate and William met Joanne Wales, 31, as she opened the front door of her new-build home to welcome Their Royal Highnesses. Inside, they met son Jason, four, and learned from Joanne how energy-efficient home design helps lower her energy bills.
Joanne said: ‘With four young children, the energy bill is a major concern. There is always a need for a new pair of shoes or new clothes. I met with the energy advisory team and they gave me great tips on how to use my electricity to keep my bills low.
‘In my new home I don’t have to turn on the heating so often during the day. It has made a big difference.’
The Duke and Duchess were met at Kennishead by John MacLeod, Deputy Lieutenant of Glasgow, accompanied by his wife, Mariella McLeod.
They were introduced to Wheatley Group Chief Executive Martin Armstrong, Wheatley Group Chair Jo Armstrong and Bernadette Hewitt, the tenant chairman of Wheatley Homes Glasgow.
Wheatley Group Chairman Jo Armstrong said: ‘We were delighted to welcome the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and show them how Wheatley Group makes ‘Homes and Lives Better’.
“They were very interested in the work of our Foundation, how Wheatley gives young people the best start in life and also how we create new jobs and training opportunities so that clients can reach their full potential. We also explained how Wheatley is playing a key role in tackling homelessness and giving people their own homes across Scotland.”
