Home and Away confirm full details of dramatic stabbing incident

Home and away spoilers follow for Australian and UK viewers.

Home and away has confirmed a dramatic storyline for the soap that will put Tane Parata’s life on the line, such as Mackenzie Booth’s illegal poker night scheme threatens to lead to tragedy.

In scenes airing in Australia this week and in the UK in June, Mackenzie (Emily Weir) is still in debt to villain PK (Ryan Johnson) na he scammed her about her illegal poker games and claimed she owed him $100,000.

Unable to spend the night with him to “cancel” her debt, both Mac and PK are now out for revenge on the other – and this puts Mac in a very dangerous position, tv week reports.

“PK wants to win, control and come out on top,” said Mac star Emily. “He’s an egomaniac who doesn’t like to be told no. He wants revenge for her cheating and making her suffer.”

In the new scenes, Mac and Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis), who co-hosted the poker nights, hatch a plan to clear Salt’s ongoing debts and get rid of PK once and for all.

Mac’s brother Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) isn’t thrilled with the idea at all and… he offers to bring in the River Boys to “fix” the problem, but Mac is determined to do things her own way.

Mac joins PK, plans another poker night in his honor and promises that he will reap the winnings, but in reality she plans to use the money to pay off her debts.

Dean’s friend Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) listens in and becomes concerned that Mac and Dean are playing a very dangerous game with PK.

Things get even more tense when Nathan (Ryan Panizza) of PK arrives and warns Mac that if she has a revenge plan planned, she must call it off now – because she is in grave danger.

Mac makes fun of Nathan and orders him to leave, but later realizes she should have taken his warning seriously when two men show up and ambush Mac and Dean as they close Salt.

The men drop the couple on the floor, brandishing a knife, before searching the restaurant for money and valuables.

Meanwhile, Felicity and Tane (Ethan Browne) close the gym and make the fateful decision to check on Mac.

Their sudden arrival in Salt distracts the criminals and Dean manages to knock one of the men to the ground, while Tane struggles with the other. Their intervention forces the invaders to flee, but Felicity is shocked when she runs to her boyfriend and realizes he has been stabbed.

Tane clearly needs urgent medical attention, but Mac realizes that if she goes to the hospital, all her illegal actions could be exposed. Felicity suggests calling Mac’s boyfriend, Dr. Logan Bennett, instead, but Mac knows that if Logan (Harley Bonner) gets involved, he’ll get involved in her illegal activities.

“There is a very real and terrifying chance that Tane will die from the stabbing,” Emily explained. “Being put in a situation where Tane needs urgent medical attention but in doing so reveals the criminal activity going on in Salt is the position in which Mackenzie is placed.”

Mac faces a huge life-or-death dilemma: what will she decide to do?
