The shattered mother of Toddlers & Tiaras star Kailia Posey has shared the heartbreaking note her daughter left before taking her own life at age 16.
Marcy Posey Gatterman shared: e! News she received a gift in the mail containing a special blanket with a note – two weeks after her teenage daughter was found dead on May 2.
According to the mother, the note read: “Dear mother, even if I am not around, I want you to know that I love and appreciate you. All the time. Wrap yourself in this and consider it a big hug. I love you.”

The teen died by suicide just days after celebrating her prom.
“This is the worst thing a mother can go through,” Marcy said.
She urged everyone to reach out and ask for help if they are struggling.
“Parents who have teens who have a phone, check their phone. And if you’re having a hard time, talk to your parents,” she said.
“They don’t judge you. They will give you the help you need, but we need to know what you need to get the help you need. Don’t keep it inside.”
Earlier this month, tragic details emerged after the Whatcom County coroner said: page six Kailia died of suffocation after committing suicide.
Further details about the star’s death are being withheld because sharing it would be “highly offensive” and “not of legitimate interest to the public and therefore violate the right to privacy,” the Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office told the publication.
In a previous statement to TMZKailia’s mother Marcy Posey Gatterman confirmed that the teen committed suicide just two weeks after she turned 16.
Washington State Patrol officer Jacob Kennett told: PEOPLE Police were called around 1:26 p.m. on May 2 to investigate the death of a minor at Birch Bay State Park.
“Although she was an accomplished teen with a bright future ahead of her, unfortunately she made the hasty decision to end her earthly life at a rambunctious moment,” her mother said in a statement to TMZ.
In an earlier Facebook post announcing her daughter’s death, Marcy wrote: “I have no words or thoughts. A beautiful girl has passed away.”
In a second post on social media mourning her loss, Marcy added: “I still have no words.
“I thank everyone for their kind words. I miss my little girl so much it doesn’t feel real.
“I keep waiting for her to walk through the door and call my name mama mama. My baby!!”
Kailia was best known for appearing in an episode of Toddlers & Tiarasa reality TV series that focused on the families of children who competed in beauty pageants.
She became one of the most recognizable faces in the series after her cheeky grin was turned into a hugely popular meme during a 2012 segment.
Her family now has a Kailia Posey Teen Crisis Intervention Fund which aims to raise money for “students in crisis”.
Kailia started participating in pageants at the age of three and continued to do so throughout her childhood and adolescence.
In her statement to TMZ, Marcy wrote that her daughter has “won countless crowns and trophies after participating on the election circuit all her life”.
The 16-year-old was a student at Lynden High School in Washington.
“Her acclaimed contortionist talent had already led to professional touring jobs, and she was recently selected to be a cheerleader in her high school next fall,” her mother added.
Kailia was also interested in aviation and had talked about her desire to get a commercial pilot’s license.
She had performed with Cirque du Soleil and had a role in the 2018 Netflix movie Eli.
