Meghan MarkleaHer estranged sister has begged her to stop “watching and doing nothing” after their father needed emergency treatment after suffering a stroke.
Samantha Marklea57, compared her sibling’s lack of action to “elder abuse” after she was accused of not contacting her since the first news of Thomas Markle’s ailing health earlier this week.
Retired lighting director Markle, 77, who lives in Rosarito, Mexico, was knocked down and lost his speech just a week before flying to London for the Queen‘s platinum anniversary celebrations.
It is not yet known whether Meghan, 40, who is estranged from him, will go to bed at a clinic in Chula Vista, California — just a few hours’ drive from the house she shares with Prince Harry in Montecito.
But when speaking to GB News’ Dan Wootton Tonight, Samantha Markle became emotional as she spoke of Meghan’s “negligence” and accused her of not contacting the family following her father’s stroke.
“He’s been through so much,” she explained. “Two heart attacks, a pandemic and now a stroke. None of us have heard from Meghan – that’s negligence.
“If she can’t find it in her heart or have the moral conscience to step forward, shame on her. He doesn’t have much time. She will have to live with that for the rest of her life.” Ms Markle has been contacted for comment.

When asked by Dan if she thought Meghan should offer to help with medical expenses, Samantha said, “She sees all this. I get the feeling that I would turn my wheels trying to appeal to her heart now.
“She could have reached out to him at any time to find out, but she didn’t. How can she see him suffer like that? Who does that?’
Mr. Markle’s blood pressure had been high for the past few days, it was said. It means Markle will miss the London celebrations, just as he missed Meghan’s 2018 wedding to Harry after suffering a heart attack.
Markle, who lives in Rosarito, Mexico, was taken across the border to the US by ambulance around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
His son Thomas Jr, 55, was with him and is in hospital near San Diego while Samantha was due to fly over from her Florida home last night.
The images posted online show Markle lying on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on.
Two paramedics try to pick him up in Spanish and ask his name. Someone behind the camera replies that his name is Thomas.
One of the paramedics says in English, ‘I’ll be your paramedic. You’re going to the US.’
Markle was due to be in London next week and would have been a guest on TV covering the anniversary celebrations. The trip is said to have fulfilled his ‘long cherished wish to visit Windsor Castle’, Dan Wootton from MailOnline wrote:†
However, his health appears to have dashed those hopes, just as it thwarted Markle’s plans to let Meghan walk down the aisle in 2018 when he was forced to pull out of the ceremony.
He underwent surgery to repair the damage and Prince Charles took his place and performed the duties of the bride’s father during the wedding service.

Markle has had a difficult relationship with Meghan and her husband Prince Harry, whom he previously accused of being ‘snotty’.
He and his youngest daughter haven’t spoken to each other since before the wedding, when they texted while he was in bed in the hospital, he claimed.
According to Mr. Markle, they “practically said goodbye” at that point, and Harry said to him, “If you’d listened to me, this wouldn’t have happened to you.”
The Sussexes are said to have been angry with Markle who sold pictures of himself to a paparazzi agency in the run-up to the wedding.
Last month he announced he would be flying to the UK for the royal celebrations and said he would like to meet Harry and Meghan, who will be in attendance, along with their son Archie, the three and 11-month-old daughter Lilibet.
Markle said he also wanted to meet Prince Charles and joked that they were both “ghosted by our own children.”
Markle told GB News at the time from his home in Rosarito: “I’m looking forward to it.
“I’m going to show my respect for the Queen and I’m going to make sure the Queen understands that my whole family respects the Queen and the Royal Family.
“We admire them and we want them to know that we think of them that way and that’s how we think of England.”
He added that he felt he had the right to meet his grandchildren.
In her interview with Oprah Winfrey in March last year, Meghan spoke of the betrayal she felt when her father was revealed to have worked at a photo agency.
She said: ‘We called my father and I asked him [if he talked to the tabloids] and he said ‘No, absolutely not’ and I said ‘You know the institution has never intervened for anything for us, but they can try to come in and kill this story, but once they do this, we’re going not being able to use that same leverage to one day protect our own children. I just want you to tell me and if you tell me the truth, we can help you.” †
According to Meghan, her father was “not able to do that” and she said his refusal to answer was “so hard for me to reconcile.”
