Harry and Meghan’s ‘olive branch’ to Will and Kate fails

It seems the frosty relations between the Sussexes and the Cambridges continued during the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations, with the estranged princes and their families apparently spending little to no time together.

Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly gave an “olive branch” to Prince William and Kate and invited them to Lilibet’s birthday picnic at Frogmore Cottage, but they were not present.

Instead, the busy Cambridges – along with their children Charlotte, 7, and George, 8 – went for a day trip to Wales as part of the anniversary celebrations.

It meant the Cambridge kids couldn’t meet baby Lilibet or catch up with cousin Archie.

“Things are still fraught – William is still wary of spending any time alone with Harry because you never know exactly what will be reported next,” a UK royal insider told Page Six.

Prince Harry and Meghan flew from their home in the US to attend the four-day anniversary celebrations, but kept themselves relatively inconspicuous.
