The cruel blow of the young gun of cowboys; Sea Eagles Without Origin Star: NRL Casualty Ward

Manly gun Daly Cherry-Evans has been ruled out of his party’s Round 14 clash.

The Cowboys will have to do without young armor bearer Heilum Luki after sustaining a brutal ACL injury.

Meanwhile, the Broncos have been without a major playmaker for a month.

Sea Eagles star Daly Cherry-Evans has been banned from competing in his Round 14 match against the Wests Tigers.

After being instrumental in the opening win of the Maroons series, the veteran halfback suffered a quad injury.

The severity of the injury is not yet known.

Cowboys young gun Heilum Luki’s season is almost over after a brutal injury against the Dragons. understands that the North Queensland side has resigned themselves to the fact that the 21-year-old has suffered an ACL rupture and that the backrower will be sent for scans today.

“There’s no great news coming out of the Cowboys dressing shed about Heilum Luki, they say it’s an ACL,” Brent Tate said on Fox League.

‚ÄúThat is terrible news. They will need to get scans to confirm that. But let’s hope this isn’t the news coming out of the Cowboys.”

The Broncos will have to go a month without a five-eighth Tyson Gamble due to stress fractures in his leg.

The Daily Telegraph reported that Gamble suffered a stress fracture in his leg, forcing the Broncos halfback Ezra Mam to move to five-eighth following skipper Adam Reynolds’ return from a groin injury.

Meanwhile, the Storm is sweating over scans of the injured ankle of Maroons winger Xavier Coates.

Xavier Coates will undergo scans on his ankle tonight following an injury in the first half of last night’s 2022 Origin opener,” the Storm said in a statement.

“The Storm and Maroons flyer, who played its sixth game in the Origin arena, will receive a specialist tomorrow (Friday).”

Meanwhile, Queensland and Cowboys rifleman Jeremiah Nanai will miss round 14 with an ankle injury, despite returning in a heroic Origin I performance.

Broncos and Blues center Kotoni Staggs is also unlikely to play in Round 14 after suffering a shoulder injury during his Origin debut.

Blues coach Brad Fittler was hoping it was just a cork, but with a short turnaround, Staggs will likely return in round 15.
