The Texas Chain Saw Massacre

All the big news from Xbox + Bethesda’s Extended Games Showcase

It is clear that the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase was home to all the big reveals and in-depth gameplay dives of all the games to come over the next year.

Much like last year, Xbox chose to host a second expanded showcase to dig a little deeper into some things, while debuting trailers that didn’t make it to the high running time of the original showcase.

Here is everything that was covered in the extensive display case.

Valheim is coming to Xbox Game Pass next year

While it was revealed during the main showcase that Valheim would be coming to Game Pass for PC this year, today’s expanded showcase served to confirm that the game will also be coming to Xbox Game Pass for console next year.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Is Making Its Way To Xbox Game Pass Next Year

One of the most surprising tidbits we thought could have easily starred was the fact that Gun’s asymmetric multiplayer title, inspired by the classic horror film The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, debuted on Xbox Game Pass on day one.

The team debuted a “red band” trailer, which is quite graphic, to celebrate the news.

We’ve got a behind-the-scenes look at dusk

This is definitely a ‘Brodie game’ so I was definitely looking forward to more of this interactive story adventure coming to us courtesy of developers who once worked at Quantic Dream.

To say this sort of thing is their specialty is an understatement.

Master Chief and Co. coming soon guys

While we’re already excited that Fall Guys will be a free-to-play title next to its launch on Xbox consoles, the fact that we now have some news that Master Chief and some of Halo’s other cast are coming to the game is pretty cool.

The fact that they faked Halo 3’s famous “Believe” ad to drop the news is the icing on the cake.

The next Microsoft Flight Simulator World update will take place in the United States

I love the fact that little by little Microsoft Flight Simulator is becoming a much more realized and detailed world to fly in, and the United States is definitely a big one for the team to check off the list.

Along with the free world update, which comes out today, players will be able to purchase a Beechcraft Model 18.

High On Life is a Triple-I game according to Justin Roiland

We also took a closer look at Justin Roiland’s upcoming action-adventure comedy shooter, High On Life, which aims to bring his signature grown-up humor into a compelling tale of intergalactic bounty hunting.

We have a different take on Slime Rancher 2

While we haven’t heard much about this since its unveiling a while ago, it’s still slated for release this year.

What we did get was another nice look at the game, which goes into detail on some of the environments players can expect during their time with Slime Rancher 2.

The [email protected] Globetrotting Sizzle Reel with some Australian developers

I was certainly pleased to see Phantom Abyss, developed by Brisbane’s Team WIBY, and Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong appear on what’s a pretty nice display of indies to come for the platform.

We got an emotional update from the STALKER 2 team

Developing games is hard work, it’s even harder when you’re displaced and caught in the crossfire of conflict.

This short video from the developer behind the upcoming STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl should hopefully shed some light on what they’re going through.

Enter the zone with this new STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl trailer

The team also had this brand new trailer for players to hold onto until the game comes out next year.
