The royal family has given Prince Andrew a major rejection after the monarchy made a “family decision” to limit the appearance of the disgraced Duke of York on Garter Day in the UK.
Andrew was not pictured alongside other members of the royal family at one of the most colorful events in the royal calendar – after the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge reportedly lobbied the Queen over his participation.

The Queen had expressed her support for Andrew – reportedly her favorite child – by accompanying him to the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service in March.
But according to the sunPrince William may have issued a “him or me ultimatum” ahead of Garter Day service at St George’s Chapel.
Both William and Charles would have feared a public “backlash” if the Duke of York was allowed to attend events.
“It was a household decision in the best interest of the family, but also in the interest of the Duke of York,” said a source. the sun†
Ahead of the Garter Day ceremony, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson confirmed: “The Duke of York will attend the investiture and lunch today, but will not be part of the procession or service.”
The queen also did not participate in the procession.
Instead, Prince Charles appeared next to his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall. Also in attendance were Prince William and his wife, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Prince Harry ‘furious’
The latest royal breakup comes amid reports that Prince Harry was “furious” over the treatment he and his wife, Meghan Markle, received during the Queen’s platinum anniversary.
Angela Levin, who spent a year with Prince Harry while writing his biography, shared some insights into what happened during the four days the duo spent in the UK with their children Archie and Lilibet.
It is clear that the Sussexes were not invited to meet Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, during their visit.
They’ve seen Prince Charles and Camilla, and… introduced their baby Lilibet to Queen Elizabeth for the first timealthough the Queen did not order any photos of the event.
During a thanksgiving service for the Queen in St Paul’s Cathedral, Harry and Meghan sat across the church next to William and Kate.
Eagle-eyed royal fans couldn’t help but notice Meghan’s “obvious reaction” to her sister-in-law Kate Middleton as she entered the cathedral.
Meghan appeared to be the only audience member to turn in the opposite direction, as seen on the BBC‘s footage.
“Did anyone notice that the woman in the white hat (megz) turned her head to the left as The Duchess of Cambridge walked by…” read the tweet, sharing images of Meghan’s response.

“I think he would have been very, very upset that he was largely ignored,” Levin told The sun of Harry’s likely reaction to events.
She said Prince Harry felt the “break” with other members of the royal family was not his fault and that he deserved an apology.
“But he’s the one who needs to apologize,” she added.
“He said during the Oprah interview that Charles and William were trapped, he said he was cut off by his father.
“You can’t just be rude to people and expect them to open their hearts to you again.”
