Fall Guys: Tips for Every Survival Stage

Survival rounds depend on your skills to outlast your opponents, so you should always use a strategy.

While rushing to a goal or scoring points is a very clear goal that requires you to take action, sometimes Fall Guys rounds are more about beating your competition. These Survival rounds are all about throwing games and waiting for enough people to screw it up and get themselves eliminated.

This means they are not like a race stage, where you can see how many people are ahead of you at any time. Depending on what the other players are doing, these rounds can be over in seconds or last until a timeout. So you need to know how to protect yourself when the whole world is literally against you. We’ve got all the tips and tricks to help you survive.

Big Shots – Avoid Edges

This round is one of the easier rounds of survival, and it’s not uncommon for a timeout to occur because everyone survived so well. While dodging the incoming projectiles, make sure to stay clear of the edge of the seesaw at all times. If it sinks too far in either direction, the ends will go under the slime and eliminate you. If you’re too close to the back, even the slightest knock will send you away, and if you’re too close to the front, grabs will ruin your day.

Block Party – Be quick, think ahead

In this round, block patterns will slowly sweep across the platform, repelling anyone who doesn’t get out of the way. Again, you need to position yourself as close to the center as possible to give yourself room for error. You should not hesitate in your movements, especially towards the end of the round when obstacles come thick and fast.

Hoverboard Heroes – Be slow, be careful

Despite this round having a goal line that players must clear, it’s not a race, so there’s no need to rush to cross the line first. As with many Fall Guys games, you’ll find that any obstacle can be easily dodged if you run into it in isolation. The only time you need to do something about this is at the end, when you need to do a bit of low gravity platforming, but the rest of the time, take a deep breath and take everything as it comes.

Jump Club – Follow the beam

This round is fun and easy, jumping over the bar as it spins. It moves very slowly at first, so you can run around the circle after it to avoid jumping. Once it speeds up, it’s best to stand still and wait for the beam to come towards you, watch out for people trying to grab you and stop you from jumping.

Perfect Match – Fruit is all that matters

This is a much slower game where you have to remember the fruit as it appears. There are plenty of simple memory techniques out there, but just try to remember the location of one of each fruit to find your space spot. If you finally screw it up and find that you can’t remember, just follow the crowd, most people know what they are doing in this game.

Rollout – Stay central

With five parts of the card you pay with, you might be tempted to use them all, but you don’t have to. It’s best if you avoid the ones on the outskirts unless you absolutely have to as they only give you one way out. Instead, stay as close to the center as possible and make sure to switch roles constantly.

Snowball Survival – Watch the Balls

It sounds obvious, but if the snowballs are the things that hit you, keep an eye on them at all times. The icy floor is tricky, but there’s plenty of safe space for you to use. If you want to try something a little more risky, you can try chasing behind one of the balls. This ensures that you never get hit by it, but you can easily lose sight of the other person in the process, which can have serious consequences.

Stompin’ Ground – Run!

Staying still may help you keep an eye on the rhinoceroses, but it won’t help you avoid them. If you start with a walk, the rhinos will hit you before you get out of the way. If you get stuck, a dive could save your life. Staying on the edge gives you more time to dodge the Rhinos, but any hit will result in elimination. Instead, you could try standing in the middle, where you have less reaction time, but a greater chance of recovery.

Sum Fruit – Write it down

This is a much more difficult memory game because your targets are in constant motion. You have to count how many of each fruit there are and then go to the platforms that appear in the center of the map. You will be presented with a number and you have to step on the fruit that had the same number as the one on the screen. It’s tedious, and unlike Perfect Match, you can’t rely on the crowd to save you, so keeping a counting chart handy is the best way to do it.
