a new Diablo II: Resurrected patch will be arriving soon and Blizzard is celebrating with a magical find weekend event.
As detailed by Blizzard in a new blog post, the event runs from June 30 to July 4 and grants all players a 50% buff to their magical find stat, increasing the chance of finding magical, rare, set or unique items from killed monsters. This temporary improvement is stacked with magical finds provided by equipped items, meaning players who already have a decent magical find set will likely roll with loot during the event.
Patch 2.4.3 itself will arrive on June 29 and will bring improvements to the game’s various lobbies, both on PC and console, as well as several quality of life improvements. Console players should have an easier time creating and participating in games by replacing the current party finder feature with the game creation and game list features. On PC, players can search for specific keywords or game names when browsing the games list, and games available to join will now also display a connection quality indicator. The games list itself will also be expanded from 20 games to 40.
In terms of quality of life, there have been some tweaks to the Barbarian’s whirlwind ability, which now includes increased attack speed bonuses from equipped gear. Barbarian players can now also initiate a new Whirlwind Attack, Jump, or Jump Attack immediately after a Whirlwind has ended. A new hotkey option is available for players to instantly open the Horadric Cube if it’s in a player’s inventory, there’s a new “loot to cube” option for controllers, and players can now assign bulk stats (with a newly added confirmation prompt) while using a controller, players can additionally set their favorite Automap position in the game’s settings.
