TV host reveals personal pain in the air

Popular American comedian Chelsea Handler has revealed troubling personal news on the air, sparking a spate of reactions on social media.

Chelsea Handler has claimed that her New Jersey high school will not include her in its hall of fame because she has been open about abortions.

Livingston Public Schools officials, however, claimed that The mail that her comments are “untrue”.

The 47-year-old American comedian previously shared that she had three abortions while attending her New Jersey high school during her guest monologue Monday on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

On the most recent show, Handler said, “You know what guys on the internet had to say about (my abortions?),” she asked. “I don’t, because I don’t give a f**k,” she said to the applause of the audience.

“But my old high school did,” Handler continued. “I recently learned that my New Jersey high school, Livingston High School, is refusing to add me to their alumni Hall of Fame.

“Jason Alexander and Chris Christie made it, but I didn’t,” she said, referring to the… Seinfeld alum and former state governor.

“Apparently the school is upset about how much I talk about my abortions, so I decided to start a grassroots campaign.

“You should donate to Planned Parenthood, then march, then vote, but when you’re done with that, go online and tweet a message to the school district for my alma mater @LivSchools,” she continued. “Let them know how you feel about this gross injustice and use the hashtag #Hall4Handler.

“Have fun with it. Make me proud”, she concluded. “Livingston High, the hall is in your court.”

The funny woman’s request comes after the Supreme Court Overturned Roe v. Wadewho had legalized abortion across the US since 1973, last Friday, enforcing a law in Mississippi banning the procedure after 15 weeks of pregnancy — leaving the issue to each of the 50 states.

However, Livingston Public Schools officials denied Handler’s claim in a statement to: The mail on Thursday.

“Mrs. Handler’s statements about Livingston Public Schools refusing to induct her into the Livingston High School Hall of Fame are false. Ms. Handler’s representatives contacted the district earlier this year to express her desire to be included to be inducted into the LHS Hall of Fame.

“Obviously this is very important to her. Since it has been several years since anyone was inducted into the Alumni Hall of Fame, the district immediately explored the possibility of complying with her request and communicated directly with its representatives on the process of making progress. We are saddened that Ms. Handler would use her platform to amplify a political message at the expense of our school community.”

They added: “Mrs. Handler representatives emailed the district in February requesting information about how she can be inducted into the LHS Hall of Fame, which is administered by the Livingston Education Foundation (LEF), officials continued in the lengthy statement. .

“Due to the pandemic, the LEF as an organization has not functioned fully for a number of years and has been under new leadership. Although the LEF considered holding a solo induction, they realized that as an organization they had to adhere to an official nomination process for the Hall of Fame. After several email exchanges with Ms. Handler’s staff in February/March about how the district might honor her and extensive discussions with LEF leaders, the district has clearly communicated to its staff that she would be considered by the LEF for the next time candidates are assessed.”

“The LEF has indicated that it is looking forward to bringing the Hall of Fame event back as soon as possible. At that point, it can formally nominate and introduce new LHS alumni.

“The district has contacted Ms. Handler’s representatives to find out if they can shed any light on the basis for Ms. Handler’s false statements. They have not yet responded to our emails,” the district officials concluded.

The mail has not yet received a response from Handler’s representatives.

Fans quickly followed Handler’s instructions, tweeting in the school district after her opening monologue.

“Introduce Chelsea Handler to your Hall of Fame. She actively talks to women about abortion and spreads information and laughs. What’s the problem?” a user wrote.

“Honoring (sic) Chris Christie and not Chelsea Handler is about as insane as the president trying to strangle a Secret Service agent and grab the wheel of a car,” claimed another.

“Hey @LivSchools Join the century you live in and honor (sic) Chelsea Handler,” another joked.
